Thank you for your interest in Oak Bluff spring soccer. The emphasis of this program is skill development, cooperation, friendship, fair play, moderate competition and having a great time outside. Registration and payment will be done online through TeamSnap. The link to register your child in spring soccer is at the bottom of this email.
The program will run from May 4th to June 22nd. Location will be the park in Oak Bluff Estates.
The 6 & 7, 8 & 9, and 10-12 age groups will also play games against teams from other communities within the RM of Macdonald. Depending upon registration numbers, kids will be grouped as follows: Learn to Play – 4 & 5 years old
Mini Soccer – 6 & 7 years old Modified Soccer – 8 & 9 years old Regulation Soccer – 10 – 12 years old (There is also a question on the registration about this age group regarding interest in forming a team that would compete against Winnipeg Teams in 2024). ***Ages as of December 31, 2023*** Learn to Play (4 &5 years old) will be scheduled once per week on Wednesdays (6-7pm). All other age groups will be scheduled on Tuesday and Thursday (6:30-7:30pm).
Fees:
Learn to play: $40; All other age groups: $55
OBRC mandatory volunteer registration and $300 post-dated cheque (see form in Teamsnap link below). Form and cheque should be given to your coach at the first practice. Cheques will only be cashed if you fail to fulfill your volunteer hours.
Coaching:
We will require parents to volunteer to coach to ensure the success of the program
One head coach and two helpers per team
Coaching clinic (1-2 hours) will be organized before season starts for those interested
Coaching/help coach will fulfill your OBRC volunteer obligation for the year
